Wow, Gang up on the new guy. I stand corrected Oliver is 6'2. I was way off.

According to the Vees website Milan is entering 2010-2011 season. I have yet to read about a push back on that. Any sources?

The best part of the class is the Defensive help on the way.
Nick Jensen is a solid, solid D-Man with a great +- for the last 2 years. Also has great size. Kevin Gravel has way above average skating ability and at 6-4 another huge wing span to balance with our smaller faster D will be a huge asset.

3 guys coming in at 6'3" + and couple at 6'1. We have a lot of small speed guys. This is the balance we need.

Well said and if true I couldn't agree more.  A little more size on this team will go a long way with the skill we have.  With Lee in net for at least two more years this team has the chance of doing some great things and hopefully beyond that!

That site is unreliable, they had a Reid still listed as a UNH recruit for about a month after the change. But I think it was said in the story on Reid that Milan would be pushed back and it was mentioned again when Benik said he was going to Penticton next season.

Gravel can skate well for a big man, surprisingly well considering his size. His team can't generate on offense and I don't think he took a shot all night so I can't really comment much on his game that way but he rarely, if ever, joined a rush tonight.

I watched Blaine and Coon Rapids this afternoon. Blaine half assed it and still won 9-0. Jonny B looked good. Smiley He still has a ways to go before I would say he is a D1 Player, but being a junior he still has plenty of time.

19. Nick Jensen, D – 6.5C
6’1, 189lbs
Acquired: 5th round, 150th overall, 2009

Jensen can best be described as a skill and finesse player with a decent shot and good hockey sense. He possesses smooth skating ability and isn’t afraid to throw a hit. The largest concerns in his game lie in his lack of strength, as both his passing and shooting need to become much crisper at the collegiate level. In his second year with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL, the 19-year-old Jensen has been able to put up 19 points over 40 games.

Committed to St. Cloud State for the 2010-11 season, he will be given ample time to develop into a solid offensive defenseman for the Red Wings.

Prochno with 2 assists in a 7-2 blowout of Eden Prarie in the 6AA section final.  One out of three players to watch during the State Tournament.  Hendrickson and Virginia in the 7A Championship right now, 3-0 Virginia at the end of the 2nd period.

Cory Thorson, 6'1" 190 F from Crystal. Leading Owatonna in scoring, was 2nd last year. He can play another year of juniors but we have some options now for some other guys who may need another year before fulfilling the role we need them to.

I really hope Hendrickson was hurt or sick, looked like the worst D1 commit in the tourny yesterday.  What a disappointment.  On the other hand Nelson looked very good and is going to be a nice player after a year in the USHL but for Nodak.  Krause kid from Hermantown has some nice tools and has progressed nicely from last year.  Marshall is a Ness clone, flashy but DZone play needs work, interesting to see Gophs approach with him, if they have learned anything with Ness.

This was the 2nd time I had seen Hendrickson play, last year as a sophomore in the tourny and now this year.  He was a complete non factor.  Really needs some seasoning before he arrives in the WCHA if yesterday was an indication of his ability.
