Not his fault, per se. Not blaming him, really. It's just that, this cat is like Craig Dahl: anything bad that happens is the cause of something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH ME.

These kids would probably stick around if the team did better and the team would probably do better if they had a better coach. So Scotty got you cats into the Frozen Four... nice, I was cheering for you. However, he's done nothing without Junior.

Then why are players leaving Minnesota, North Dakota and Denver early? Your argument makes no sense... Niskanen was a first round pick and Raymond was a second rounder and they were offered the max signing bonus - i.e. never going to get more, why wouldn't they go? I'd be more concerned if it were a situation like at UAA where Beagle left early to play in the ECHL.

I suppose he should go back to recruiting slow hacks with no chance to play in the NHL so they don't leave early?

Obviously, there'll be a few of these guys not coming back. If our two stay, they'll have as good a shot as anybody on this list to win it. Duncan or Ehn could win it this year, so that'll probably work against them next year (didn't Duncan "obstruct justice" earlier this year?).

This is a fun read. However, I don't see why Schroeder would have to play WHL. Since he's not currently a Major Junior player, he could play NHL or AHL... which is what I would negotiate for if I was his agent. The NHL team won't want to do that because they'll lose a year on the entry level contract, but I say "F*** the WHL, it's NHL, AHL, or the goofers only".
